ALROSA conducted a transaction with customers from India and China in the Russian currency. Normally, all transactions were effected in US dollars only. Russia is an export country, therefore there is every chance of strengthening the national currency on the global stage.
Vladimir Iurievich noted that appropriate government measures should be taken to trade in oil and gas in rubles. If such measures are successfully implemented, it will serve as a wide field for trade allowing for reduction of costs of economic entities.
