An open lecture-meeting of Vladimir Iurevich Salamatov, the Head of the Trade and Trade Regulation Department, the General Director of the ITI Research Center, the Chairman of the EAEU Business Council Committee on Trade and Economic Relations with the PRC and other high-priority trade partners, was held on 25 September.
The lecture-dialogue was attended by teachers of the Department, who introduced the students to the areas of research work. N.V. Eremeeva spoke on the issues of product classification and description, confirmation of origin for the purposes of assigning codes of the EAEU CN FEA in foreign trade activities. I.Z. Aronov together with A.M. Rybakova spoke on the importance of studying the market entry barriers, technical regulation measures. A.Iu. Kozhankov spoke on the topical problems of the customs regulation.
Development of information and analytical resources simplifies acquisition of information by the interested persons to a great extent, which makes their use effective not only in the business practice, but for educational purposes as well. R.M. Gubenko presented and demonstrated regularly updated databases of this type to the students.
Being highly qualified experts representing the ITI Research Center, the teachers announced a plan for establishment of an in-house laboratory on trade barriers to the students, where they were invited to have their work experience and pre-graduation internship. Activities of the ITI Research Center are focused on systemic analysis of Russia’s participation in international trade, identification and classification of non-tariff barriers in trading with key economic partners of the country and publishing activities in this area.
