The tenth meeting of the Presidium of the EAEU Business Council took place

The tenth meeting of the Presidium of the EAEU Business Council took place in Sochi on 27 September 2018. The event was held along with the meeting of the RUIE Coordination Council in the Southern Federal District.

The meeting was attended by members of the Presidium, their authorized representatives and delegations of all Parties to the Business Council, leaders and responsible specialists of the Eurasian Economic Commission, including members of the Collegium (Ministers): A.M. Subbotin, of the EEC industry and agroindustrial complex, V.V. Nazarenko, of the EEC technical regulation; E.A. Kaikiev, of the EEC power industry and infrastructure. The meeting was chaired by A.N. Shokhin, the Chairman of the Presidium of the EAEU Business Council, the President of the RUIE. The meeting was also attended by Vladimir Salamatov, the General Direcotr of ITI.

Agenda of the meeting included important issues of the Eurasian integration, activities of the Eurasian Economic Union and business environment in the territory of the EAEU. In particular: proposals for forming up of sectoral cooperation under the Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement between the EAEU and the PRC; establishment of a coordinated position of the EAEU business on the issue of goods labeling by means of their identification, traceability of goods and digital transport corridors to ensure legal turnover of goods in the EAEU internal market; issues of assistance to producers from the EAEU member states in expanding exports to foreign markets (in view of the existing programs for support and increase of non-resource exports in the EAEU member states); on unification of approaches of executive authorities of the EAEU member states to elimination of barriers in the single food market; on the issues of transit through the territory of the EAEU and possible solutions thereof; on the method of stage-by-stage convergence of national professional qualifications of the EAEU member states.

Candidates nominated by the members of the Presidium for awarding of the Badge of Honor of the Eurasian Economic Union Business Council were also approved at the meeting.
