The Far East as a Centre of Economic Cooperation with the APR: the Dialogue of Business and Government Discussion

The Russian Federation is interested in increasing the share of Russian investments in dynamically developing Asia-Pacific economies and attracting Asian investments to Russia. By the time significant success in various areas of investment cooperation has been achieved; at the same time, there is a number of barriers that impede the implementation of the whole potential of Russia's interaction with the Asia-Pacific Region.

The participants of The Far East as a Center for Economic Cooperation with the APR: Dialogue between Business and Government held as part of the Eastern Economic Forum - 2018, discussed the difficulties and opportunities that exist on the way to diversification and strengthening of trade and investments in the APR.

During the discussion, V.Iu. Salamatov emphasised that a solid progress observed in this area and noted that "... the greatest difficulties or problems in the relations between the Eurasian Union and China were taken into account in the agreement that is currently being ratified”.
