The meeting of the collegium of the Federal Service for Accreditation dedicated to the results of the Service’s activities for 2017 and objectives for 2018 and targets to be attained in the medium term

According to the Minister the key event of 2017 was Russian Accreditation Service joining the ILAC Mutual Recognition Agreement, which means the recognition of Russian test reports for export. The meeting identified key objectives for 2018, one of which is the development of bilateral cooperation and international recognition of Russian certificates to support exports, as well as fight against unfair market participants. Thus, 1,047 certification bodies and 6,577 testing laboratories were registered in 2017. However, only half of the certification bodies were engaged in certification.

Improvement in the performance of the Public Council led by Vladimir Salamatov and its structural units required that the Service introduce more effective tools of communication with participants. For this purpose, at the end of 2017, a special interactive service named PROFSA was introduced. This allowed for implementation of 45 projects with the participation of more than 440 external experts from various industries.
