The Russian Export Centre has hosted a strategic session devoted to the National Export Development Programme

The team of the ITI Research Centre, composed of Vladimir Iurevich Salamatov, Roman Mikhailovich Gubenko and Ekaterina Konstantinovna Bashkirova took part in the Project Workshop hosted by JSC Russian Export Centre on 4 June 2018. The Project Workshop is a tool for developing the National Project titled International Cooperation and Export approved by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 204 dated 07 May 2018 (Available at).

The format of such approved project is unique. It consisted in discussions, problems identification and solutions development by special groups involving not only representatives of regulatory and supervisory agencies and development institutions, but also business communities with extensive experience in exports. Indeed, joint efforts of such participants are vital in achieving target volumes of non-resource exports from the Russian Federation.

Measures and proposals are being developed as part of the Project Workshop in eight areas:

  • Export policy in industry and energy;
  • Export policy in the agriculture;
  • Export policy in the service sector;
  • Export regulation;
  • Financial and non-financial support tools;
  • International trade logistics;
  • Eurasian Economic Union; international barriers;
  • Effective system for promoting Russian goods and services.

It is planned that at the end of June the KPIs in all eight areas will be submitted to the Government for approval.
