Vladimir Iurievich Salamatov is a member of the group of leading experts of Russia on the issues of technical regulation, international recognition of conformity assessment results, development of mega-regional trade agreements, building production chains within the CIS, economic integration of the EAEU, SCO and BRICS.

Since April 2016 he heads the International Trade and Integration (ITI) Research Center, which focuses on systematic analysis of participation of Russia and the EAEU member states in international trade: identification and classification of non-tariff barriers to trade with key economic partners and publishing activities in this area.

From 2010 to 2011 he, in the rank of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade within the Working Group, conduced negotiations on accession of Russia to the World Trade Organization in the part of application of technical barriers to trade.

In 2014 he became a member of the Working Group of the State Council of the Russian Federation under the President of the Russian Federation on preparation of the report “On Increasing Competitiveness of Russian Business under Modern Conditions”; member of the working group of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the issues of protection and improvement of quality of industrial product control.

Since 2013 he has been the Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Service for Accreditation (Rosaccreditation).

Since November 2016 he has been the Chairman of the EAEU Business Council Committee on trade and economic relations with PRC and other priority partners in trade negotiations.

In 2014 he was recognized as the CEO of the Year in the Growth Performance category by The Moscow Times Awards.

He is the author of more than 75 published scientific papers and monographs.
