This publication provides an overview of the technical regulation system of the Eurasian Economic Union (Union), describes the principal features of the Union technical regulations that establish mandatory requirements for food products and labeling thereof, machinery and equipment, electrical equipment, textile and light industry products, packaging, perfumery and cosmetics.
The publication details the procedures for assessment of conformity of products with the requirements of the regulations, the composition and requirements for the documents necessary to release the products to the Union market and provides useful information for obtaining the necessary data and clarifications, carrying out of practical activities, etc.
The publication was made with the support of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and with the assistance of the Government of the Russian Federation, and will facilitate exchange of information on technical regulations and standards among the market participants and, ultimately, reduction of technical barriers to trade.
The publication is intended for companies planning to export goods to the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union member states.
